‘Offline strategies’ for “Link Popularity’ depend on several “off-page factors” that are extremely important for “Search Engine Optimization (SEO)”. These “off-page factors” have a directly proportional relationship with the ‘rankings’. ‘Search Engines’ and the SEO experts across the world are now accepting the importance of innovative and creative offline strategies. We observe a phenomenal increase in the popularity of the ‘Link –building- Process’ over the time. Links are ‘back bone’ for a solid website. ‘Search Engines’ have a close affinity with the ‘links’. ‘Link-Building-Process’ evolved as an almost necessary tactics of the ‘web promotion’.

The number and quality of the links pointing to any website become the determining factors for the “link Popularity” in case of a particular website. ‘Search Engines’ now have distaste for artificially created links. Links that are useless for the purpose of search engine listings are no less than crap. Creating links in its most simple sense looks quite easy but generating genuine link popularity in present context would require an SEO expert to handle the task. Search engines now prefer links from the authoritative, reliable, and related sites instead of the previously popular “Bulk Link Listings”. Search engines now have started giving preference to the ‘Links’ from the websites that have similar themes and focus. SEO professional now require more creativity in carving out successful strategies for ‘link building’ in genuine and authorized manner keeping the ‘search engine algorithms’ and guidelines in focus.

Obtaining a link from an authoritative website is a matter of added advantage. Apart from the ‘Link Popularity’, a link from an authoritative website provides an additional visibility. This process of link building invites webmasters to bring in a system of establishing the “Reciprocal Links” for a particular website.

We are also observing a new wave of “One-Way-Link” at the same time. SEO experts have devised several innovative methods for creating such ‘one-way-links’ from heavy traffic websites. Some of the most common strategies to build ‘one-way-links’ include submission of websites to the internet directories, writing pertinent and interesting quality articles, and distributing the website link all over the internet.

The only limitation of this ‘one-way-link’ strategy is the conditional benefit related to the link management. It makes it mandatory for both the websites to have each other’s link.
